Alluvial Gold by Erin Coates

Alluvial Gold by Erin Coates

14 November - 14 February 2021 Informed by Coates' residence at Goolugatup Heathcote, Alluvial Gold spans drawing, sculpture and video and examines the changing ecology of the Derbarl Yerrigan/Swan River, bringing a visceral drama to the often-forgotten world below the river surface. Elements of Alluvial Gold have been made in collaboration with composer Stuart James and percussionist Louise Devenish, with a performance work planned for the closing week of the exhibition.

I thought it would be roses... by Chloe Bartram

I thought it would be roses... by Chloe Bartram

14 November 2020 – 14 February 2021 I thought it would be roses... is an exhibition about the experience of womanhood. Artist Chloe Bartram brings together a group of women to produce a series of love letters upturning patriarchal tradition. The sexual narratives of young women are typically understood through cliché and fairy tale. Bartram subverts this pattern through an involved process of interview, collaboration and exchange.
