TL;DR #RT_samplr & Chroma Key

Aesthetics

Claire Bushby and Steven Tapping

25 January to 23 February 2014

TL;DR explores issues resulting from engagement with contemporary information and communication technologies in the context of a new geo-politicised world. When we use networked information technologies we are exposed to a spectrum of material sourced from many different places that collide together, and as individuals we want to make sense of this.

Claire Bushby and Steven Tapping reflect on those desires through the use of social engagement, the internet and multimedia devices mixed with installation and even cross-stitch as tools that invite participation and discussion.

Through the participative focus of the projects #RT_samplr and Chroma Key Aesthetics, Bushby and Tapping attempt to break down the division between artist and audience in a world where social media platforms and the internet in general enable everyone to be a creative content producer.
