Kylee Larsen was born in Perth. She became passionate about art from a young age. Her studies continued after high school, obtaining an Advanced Certificate of Art and Design at Fremantle Tafe, 1993 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Curtin University, 1996.
Kylee works predominantly as a painter and printmaker. Her current body of work features a collection of dry point etchings that explore Fremantle and other iconic Australian places. The prints are black and white with small additional tints. They hold the feeling of nostalgia like grandma’s old photos. The images often portraying just one or two characters have underlining stories elements.
Kylee’s artwork is represented in the following collections, South Metropolitan Campus Tafe, Bickley Valley Gallery, Alinta Gas, Joondalup Health Campus, Glengarry Hospital and numerous private collections worldwide.
