Nidia Hansen

1 March to 6 April 2014

This exhibition is the result of an exploratory journey where material leads to art to create three dimensional forms and structures that encounter a common source, ground or a path.

Nidia Hansen uses wood veneer, canvas and paper to interpret the basic qualities of these materials in a minimalistic way, transforming them into organic shapes, geometric patterns or architectural resembled objects.

Challenged by endless possibilities, the artist remain connected with the intrinsic self organisation of these materials and while enhanced by colour and contrast, the viewer will engage in a sense of rhythm and a harmonious flow with familiar and unusual shapes form by lines and broken segments.
